Gettin down n Ozzy wit it!

A couple days ago I facilitated a short meditation session. I feel my choice in hosting this activity was both necessary and positive for the group. Earlier that day several members were upset they did not receive a wake up call o go rock climbing. The others that did go climbing read frustration aimed at them, which resulted with confusion and curious feelings. Both groups failed to realize these issues were coming from their emotions. Through the meditation, everyone was able to let go of these stresses and tune in to themselves and let go of these feelings. Chapter 40 Meditate is n excellent relation with this planned activity that was delegated.
Yesterday Dayne was leader for the day. Everyone boarded the Emirates flight in Christ Church, New Zealand and after 3 hours we all arrived to Sydney, Australia. Once we arrived to Sydney, Dayne handed out the address of the hostel we were to stay at in Manly. No direction was given and everyone was split into pairs and was turned loose. This forced each group to use creativity to bounce off ideas on one another. Each group had to come to like terms and agree upon a route to take to the hostel. Some chose a train to the ferry to the hostel while others used a shuttle and everyone also had the option of a cab in addition. I found this activity had a heavy relationship with chapter 42 The Creative Process. This event was very effective as it brought out independence and creativity. Everyone was given a chance to deviate from unnecessary reliance.
On the 6th of February Adam hosted an activity that I believe was incredibly effective for the group’s process. Amongst the group members there were tensions and emotions that were not recognized. For instance back in Queenstown I got offended by a couple of girls in our group and I never addressed this until the activity. Up until that point I was very rigid and set in my way. I developed an animosity towards these people, over an insignificant issue. However I realized these feelings I endured was a product of my ego. This realistically meant I was frustrated with myself for reacting in such a manner. Similar instances happened with other group members as well. Chapter 76 Flexibility or Rigidity? Talks about how being flexible induces joy and prosperity while rigidity results with negativity and ultimately fate. By holding onto grudges and negativity it clouds he mind and only brings more negativity this activity lifted this bad energy and enabled everyone to simply accept the past and enjoy the present.

Wow, so much has happened since Queenstown! Everyone hiked a total of 32 km’s on a brilliant hike called the Routeburn. I took over 100 pictures just from that hike and I can not wait to see how they turn out. The Routeburn was by far my personal favorite moment from our entire time in NZ. After that hike we all went on a cruise around Milford Sound which was also spectacular. Never have I seen so many consecutive waterfalls. Our exit from Milford Sound did not go smoothly, our Toyota Hiace broke down. Thankfully everything worked out by the end of the night. We stayed in Te Anau and ended up hanging out for a whole day in that town. We all waited for our new van to come through from Christ Church. Once our new van arrived we drove to Wanaka where we enjoyed mountain biking and rock climbing. I did some skateboarding too of course. From there we drove to Christ Church and unfortunately that city was very gloomy due to the horrendous earthquakes they had. We all flew out of Christ Church and arrived in Sydney. Once we landed we all made our way to Manly, Australia. Manly has been quite fun. Lots of free time and splendid sunshine and activities on the beach. Tomorrow we embark for the Blue Mountains, I am stoked to see what will happen next! Until next time…
Your boy, Timoteus
